Vineet Mishra, M.D.

Dr. Vineet Mishra is the co-founder of Restoration Dermatology and a board-certified dermatologist, fellowship-trained Mohs surgeon and cosmetic dermatologist, as well as a board-certified venous disease specialist.

Outside of his professional life, Dr. Mishra enjoys hiking, working out, traveling, and spending quality time with friends and family.

Education and Training

Born and raised in Nashville, Dr. Mishra is excited to return to his hometown to serve patients. His educational journey began at the University School of Nashville (K-12), followed by Vanderbilt University, where he graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience from the College of Arts and Science. He earned his medical degree from Vanderbilt University School of Medicine, completed his internship at Emory University, dermatology residency at the University of Alabama – Birmingham, and a procedural dermatology fellowship at Scripps Clinic in San Diego under Dr. Hugh Greenway.

From 2013 to 2018, Dr. Mishra served as Associate Professor of Dermatology and Director of Mohs and Procedural Dermatology at the University of Texas Health Science Center – San Antonio. In 2018, he returned to Scripps Clinic as faculty for the Micrographic Surgery & Dermatologic Oncology fellowship, practicing in both the Division of Dermatology and Mohs Surgery and the Division of Vascular Surgery. Since 2018, he has also been an Adjunct Associate Clinical Professor of Dermatology at the University of California – San Diego.

Skills and Specialties

Dr. Mishra’s leadership roles include serving on the Board of Directors for the Texas Dermatological Society, San Diego Dermatological Society, American Association of Physicians of Indian Origin (AAPI) – Young Physician Section, and the American College of Phlebology Foundation. He has held positions as President of the San Diego Dermatological Society, Vice President of AAPI Young Physician Section, and alternate delegate to the American Academy of Dermatology Advisory Board.

He has authored numerous articles on dermatology and venous disease and contributed to multiple book chapters. Additionally, Dr. Mishra has a keen interest in public policy at both state and federal levels, serving as a Delegate in the American Medical Association House of Delegates.
