Microneedling, also known as collagen induction therapy, is a minimally invasive cosmetic procedure that involves the use of a device containing fine needles to create controlled micro-injuries to the skin. This process stimulates the skin's natural healing response, leading to increased collagen and elastin production, and ultimately resulting in smaller pores, pigment correction, stretchmark reduction, acne scarring improvement, and smoother, firmer, more youthful-looking skin.
WHAT TO EXPECT AFTER MICRONEEDLING
Depending on the depth, you could experience mild swelling and tenderness for up to three days, and mild heat and redness similar to a sunburn for 24-48 hours. You may also be sensitive to extreme heat or hot water for the first two days. Redness, itching and peeling could occur that lasts up to 7 days. Results become apparent after 1week and optimal results are achieved after 3-5 treatments.

From consult to my post-procedure follow-up, the staff were kind, attentive, and informative. Dr. Mishra even sent me a text 48 hrs after my procedure to make sure I was doing well. Then he texted again after I had stitches removed to make sure I was satisfied with the results. I didn’t experience much pain or discomfort at all after having a cyst removed from my face. It’s been 2 weeks since the procedure and my daily routine is back to normal.
