Our Laser Skin Resurfacing Technique
Before you have a more intense or deeper skin resurfacing session, you may be asked to use a topical retinoid for 2 – 3 weeks before your laser appointment. The retinoid helps prep the skin for more effective results. Medication may be prescribed prior to the treatment to help reduce discomfort for greater relaxation during your session. If your complexion needs mild improvement, local anesthesia may be applied to numb treated areas where the laser will target. For the whole complexion or deeper laser procedures, some kind of sedation may be required. During the procedure, you can relax in our comfortable treatment chair while the laser glides over your skin, directly targeting the designated areas for improvement. You will feel the heat from the laser, followed by cold air from the built-in cooling system. The laser works to destroy damaged skin cells while also stimulating new collagen growth.
